Data: They pay millions to steal it from you. Use it for your own benefit

Have you ever wondered how Google Facebook or any other social platform just happened to show you an ad for a product you happened, to mention in passing to a friend just moments before?

Now many believe the common conspiracy, they're listening to to what you say via your phones microphone directly, but the scarier reality is they don't need to...

Just by the data they collect from you when you use their platform. They can perfectly predict what topics you may speak about or be interested in. Your phone being close a friend for example shows that you'll likely have things in common, hence your friends google search on a topic which they may speak to you about after they've searched for it. Can be connected to you, as your phones were close together despite you never having searched for something similar on your phone they can, and will direct ads relating to this topic to you.

This clearly demonstrates the unparalleled power of innocent looking data. So are you going to be a victim of this data collection endlessly being pressured into buying things? Or are you going to accept this truth and learn to use it for your own benefit.

"So how can I use data for my own benefit?"

I asked myself this question a few years ago. After behind shocked and a little terrified at the methods used by these company's. Being from a programming background, as well as lifelong Gym Rat. I decided to make a tool that could track all my progress and measurements in the gym. Collecting data about myself from every workout. This data I could later use to understand more about myself and my body and thus create my workouts in a smarter way specialised for me.

Over the course of just under a year, as of the time of writing. I have incrementally added more and more features to this tool. At first it only consisted of a Weight Tracker (tracking changes in my bodyweight overtime) and a general resistance training, progress log to track my strength progression on all exercises, but now it has cardio trackers, BMI and FFMI calculators areas to enter body measurements, such as arm size and waist overtime and many more that'd make this paragraph too long to mention.

I also created other tools with data collecting capabilities, such as habit trackers which keep track of how consistent you've been with your habits using mathematical formulas to highlight in different colours which habits you've been consistent in and which you've skipped.

These tools collectively have taken many 100s of hours of my unpaid time to research, create, debug and optimise to work as effectively as they do. Its all been worth it though as they have lead to some of the best gains in both muscle and productivity in my life.

I would later come to bundle all these tools together into one product that has come to be known to as the "Ultimate Gym Tracker" if this article has resonated with you in anyway, Id recommend you check out the listing for this product below.
